about Kintin

From a young age Kintin was often found in trouble for drawing in his school books instead of taking notes. He recalls teachers saying ‘he would never get anywhere in life’ and his biggest punishment at home was not ‘no tv’ but having his drawing materials taken away.

The noise of external doubt never led him astray from his art, he knew this was the way to a life of creativity and freedom. Through the years, his art has transformed through music, hand painted t-shirts, canvases, murals and tattoos. Though the medium may shift, the message remains the same. Drawing inspiration from the world around him, through hiphop culture, his afro-indigenous roots and the vibrant nature in which he grew up, his work is a reminder to stay curious and free in a world that aims to extinguish our creative expression and detach us from our true potential.

His work has taken him on many journeys around the world and collaborations with incredible projects and people. From hotel and artist collaborations throughout Latin America, tattoo and art studios around Europe, to setting up his own art residency nestled in the mountains of Colombia. With his dedication, the residency has evolved into a space where artist, free spirits and animals can live together in harmony with nature and native wisdom. The vision is to restore and reforest native land, give a home to animals in need of care and to create a safe place for people to come together and be the most authentic version of themselves.

Art is a way of bringing people together, of connection and community. A way to challenge the norms of society, to question the impact of our disconnection from nature, animals and ourselves in a culture where consumption is valued more than creativity and freedom.

“Art is our weapon. Culture is a form of resistance.”
